Autumn’s on its way

There is bright sunshine on this fair Sunday morn and yet as I wonder outside in shorts and a vest there is that undeniable chill in the air. I’m sure it wasn’t there in the past weeks, but we are now only days away from September. Personally I am hoping for one of those lovely Indian summer Septembers where you can still fool yourself that summer isn’t over, but judging by the summer we’ve had so far I’m not convinced. So in preparation for the coming weeks I’m sorting out my wardrobe to incorporate sleeves as I may need them. I’m feeling denim shorts, vests with a chunky knit thrown over the top and possibly tights if its quite cold with some kind of boot. Oh and of course that classic combination of scarves and sunglasses. Basically people layer it up and you can’t go wrong. Here are some ideas. . .

I am a firm fan of the knitted jumper especially the oversized and chunky kind and they were all over the catwalk at fashion week for Autumn/ Winter 2011. They are awesome because they are so versatile, you can wear them with actually anything.
