The Best Bump on Show

This week Beyonce announced she was pregnant and as the world waits with baited breath to see how she dresses her bump, I thought this would be a good time to look back at how some other celebrities have expressed their style whilst pregnant. Maternity wear has come a long way in the last few years with most High Street stores producing a maternity range each season and one of the firm favourites over the last few years has definitely been the maxi dress. I think the key thing is to be comfortable yet appear, stylish and chic. It just so happens that one of my friends has recently found out she is pregnant, so this is to say Congratulations and heres some inspiration . . .

Nicole Ritchie:

Nicole Richie still fashionable and pregnant :: 2007/11/14 16:29

I just love Nicole Ritchie’s maternity style, she always looks comfortable, fashionable and chic. Layering leggings, long tops and jackets and accessorising with hats and sunglasses just completes the outfit. The dresses she chooses are demure but still show her bump. I think she perfectly carries off the casual maternity style.

Kate Hudson:

Kate really pulls off the uber glam style in herself whilst pregnant and just radiates thats maternal glow. I absolutely love her red carpet style especially that gold dress. She definitely prefers the long flowing dresses which show a hint of bump and dresses down with long cardigans.

Ashlee Simpson:

Ashlee Simpson carries off this stle of maxi dress and the hippie chic look very well. Flip flops, sunglasses and headbands really completes this look. It embodies both the casual and the glamourous.

A Pregnant Rachel Stevens steps out to shop near her home in North London looking radiant in a grey knit sweater and black knee high boots.

Here are some other looks which I feel work really well, beautifully displayed by Abbey Clancy, Holly Willoughby and Rachel Stevens. Hope you enjoyed. XOXO
