One of the trends which dominated the catwalks across the globe for Autumn 2011 is Tartan, whether it was a subtle check here, a bit of plaid there or head to toe Yves Saint Laurent style. It is clear that plaid is usurping denim as the new fabric to double up on for your wardrobe. But if your a bit tartan shy you could try injecting the trend through a scarf or bag. As you can see the Tartan trend can be interpreted in so many different ways, I personally like the sixties take on the trend as shown by Burberry Prorsum and the subtle approach in Mulberry’s scarf.
