Simple, elegant and chic – enter Isabel Marant

I absolutely love simple chic style and no one does this better than French designer du jour Isabel Marant. Season after season she impresses with her individual style that speaks so clearly to women. What I love so much about her collections, is that they’re so utterly wearable.

For the Spring / Summer season 2012 Isabel Marant has indulged in multicultural trends that give an ‘around the world’ feel, from chunky knit jumpers and dresses to classic American style loungewear, light weight Spanish style embroidered garments and sexy evening dresses.

Here are my favourite’s from Isabel Marant’s Spring / Summer 2012 collection:

Isabel is bang on trend with this season’s hottest look – prints! The clash of multiple colours and prints teamed with embroidery enhances the global traveller trend.

The earthy colours touch on a Summer safari feel and make great casual wear whatever the weather.

Light weight, translucent fabrics with embroidered detailing accentuate the female form and the casual silhouettes push the feminine boundary, whilst still retaining a certain amount of sex appeal.

I love these short luxurious dresses which are intricately detailed, the sheer fabrics and lace detailing give an opulent feel. This collection just oozes sex appeal defined by the short hemlines of the garments exposing the legs, yet the garments tend to have high necklines and always appear demure and stylish. It’s this perfect balance that attracts women to buy into Marant’s collections, the ability to look stylish with understated sex appeal.
