Happy 1st of December everyone! You can officially start putting up your decorations and getting in the festive spirit and now the weather has officially become wintery with temperatures plummeting – it currently says 0 degrees on my weather app. So here’s some inspiration for the next few weeks on how to keep cosy and warm and get in the Xmas spirit.
Somerset House have got their traditional festive ice rink up and running for the next month, take in the beautiful and massive Xmas tree while you wrap up warm and try not to slip over. Or you could take a trip to Covent Garden:
I love Covent Garden at Xmas, it is always immaculately decorated with the extra large tree, the lit up deer and the market halls dec’d out with oversized baule baules. Wander around the markets looking for perfect gifts for loved ones or stop off for a hot beverage and be entertained by the street performers.
Swing by Oxford Street to see their festive Xmas lights, the marmite pot of gold inspired creation and Regent Streets 12 days of Xmas:
Wander the streets for a bit late night shopping under the festive glare of the lights, take a trip to Hamleys to indulge your childish side and check out the window displays in Selfridges. Or stay in and keep warm & cosy:
Get in the Christmas mood with some decadent hot chocolate, hang stockings on the fire place, indulge in some candy canes and stick on a festive movie.
