I love Isabel Marant and in the style stakes she can do no wrong. Her collections are French chic to the core and as I’ve said before her clothes have the wearability factor. When you see Marant’s collection you can see yourself actually wearing these clothes and you know you’ll look good! Here’s a flavour of the collection:
As you know prints are ‘on trend’ this summer season and Marant’s take on the print trend is varied, the floral print is layered through the red, black and white theme whilst there are still earthy tones with the greens, greys and mauve – it all fits together with a slight bohemian feel. Although the collection is quintessentially French there is still a hint of Americana lurking behind the threads as with Marant’s Autumn / Winter collection.
You can image 1950’s Hawaii beach parties and Bridget Bardot wearing the swimwear in St Tropez, understated glamour at it’s most chic! As well as prints the collection embodies most of the seasons key trends with ruffles, embellishment, bare midriffs, monochrome themes, short hemlines and asymetric shoulders.
I just wish I could afford to add a few pieces to my wardrobe! What do you think? XOXO
