The other night I came across the uber exciting information that H&M have announced their designer collaboration for 2013 will be with the fabulous French designer Isabel Marant. I am so so so excited as I love her collections particularly because they are so wearable and encompass that all important essence of effortless chic that the French do so well.
Over the last few years the French fashionista has made waves with her footwear designs in particular which have been a firm favourite of the A-list. There were the western style ankle boots, the fringed boot and who could forget the hidden wedge trainer that instantly became a hit last year:
Kate Bosworth rocking the Isabel Marant Dicker suede ankle boot.
Leann Rimes wearing the Jacob fringe wedge ankle boots above and below the longer knee high fringed boots which were my favourite.
Kate Bosworth, Miranda Kerr and Beyonce were often seen in their Isabel Marant hidden heel wedge trainers.
I was also a huge fan of these amazing embroidered jeans – adding a stylish twist to the modern classic. Here’s what the designer herself had to say about the collection.
“I am flattered by this collaboration: H&M works with the best designers and this invitation is an exciting honour. I aim at creating something real, that women want to wear in their everyday lives, with a certain carelessness, which I think is very Parisian: you dress up, but do not pay too much attention and still look sexy. The collection is infused with this kind of easiness and attitude. Everything can be mixed following one’s own instincts: my take on fashion is all about personality” says Isabel Marant.
Here is a sneak peek of the collection modelled by Isabel Marant, posted by H&M on their Instagram page.
I can’t wait to see what the rest of the collection looks like and if those boots are anything to go by I think it will be immense! What is also exciting is that there will be a collection for men as well as women. The collection hits shops on November 14th so get saving I know I will be! XOXO
