I’m doing a joint post for the past few weeks as I haven’t really felt like blogging much. I’ve had a few pregnancy dramas over the past weeks but am feeling more positive now. So here’s what I’ve been up to . . .
I have to say I’m really impressed with the design of Matalan’s latest collection by Abbey Clancy, the dresses and designs are stylish, demure and fashion forward. They definitely have an air of Victoria Beckham about them with the block colours and clean lines and this is absolutely a step up for the budget brand.
We all know that pastels are huge for Spring this year and as a popular colour over the last few seasons I think mint is really going to pop this Summer. Here’s some street style inspiration . . .
Currently I’m 17 weeks pregnant and as my tummy is slowly growing each week, less and less of my clothes are fitting which is very frustrating! So far I’m mainly wearing skinny jeggings (as they have a stretchy waist) long stretchy vests teamed with a blazer or long cardigan. This is fine but I’m already starting to get bored of the look. It’s also difficult as there is a severe lack of maternity wear on the High Street so it’s difficult to find particular looks just by going shopping. So I’ve decided to look as some of my style icons to see how they dressed their own bumps:
My absolute favourite current designer is definitely Isabel Marant, she creates clothes which are just the epitome of French Chic! Season after season she creates amazing outfits and what I love about her collections is that the clothes are just so wearable. Here’s my pick of her latest collection which she just debuted at Paris Fashion Week:
Spring is on the horizon and what with today being so beautiful and bright – it was even still light at 5pm!!! It’s made me think of my Spring / Summer wardrobe and a major trend for this season is candy colour pastels. I love this trend as it’s the perfect way to inject some colour into my usually dark wardrobe.
As Autumn looms on the horizon, new clothes are making their way onto the rails of our favourite High Street stores: jumpers, coats, boots oooh I love a bit of Winter layering! Today I came across the images for Kelly Brooks new collection for New Look to be launched this season, check out the clothes, I think you might be pleasantly surprised.
